Beef Pickle is a Kerala classic that takes real patience to get right. The meat is slow cooked until tender, then simmered again in a thick, dark masala of red chilli, ginger, garlic and vinegar until the oil rises to the top, a sign that it is ready to be bottled.

It is rich, spicy and deeply savoury, meant to be eaten in small amounts alongside rice, appam or porotta rather than as a dish on its own. The flavour only gets better after a few days as the masala settles further into the meat.

Handmade in Kerala in small batches, with no artificial preservatives, colours or flavours.

Enjoy it with hot steamed rice, kanji, or Kerala-style parotta for a hearty traditional meal, or pair it with chapati or roti for a spicy, tangy kick. It also works well as a side with sandwiches, wraps, or grilled dishes.
